Because headaches are so common, some people think getting a HEADACHE is just part of normal life!

Like a high temperature, headaches are a sign that something is wrong. Stress, toxic fumes, certain foods, some preservatives and flavourings- (E numbers), coffee and alcohol are all common causes.

A typically overlooked cause is the malfunction of spinal bones in the neck and upper back and loss of normal spinal curves is also a common cause. Nerve irritation may set off headaches, neck pain, dizziness and migraines.

Medication may give temporary relief but does not correct the underlying structural cause of pain. We help many people experience correction and relief through chiropractic, making everyday life easier, pain free and without the use of painkillers.

As well as chiropractic care combining appropriate exercises at home with your treatment generally enhances recovery and reduces the likelihood of remission (1,2)

We commonly advise stretching exercises first for mobility and pain reduction. As pain reduces we prescribe strengthening and coordination exercises to rehabilitate the condition/injury and reduce the likelihood of a relapse.

You can find Exercise videos we prescribe and recommend on our website.
