Interesting to read this article from International Osteoporosis Foundation, well worth a look if you’re concerned about Osteoporosis. http://www.iofbonehealth.org/which-nutritional-factors-help-preserve-muscle-mass-strength-and-performance-seniors
It looks at ways to prevent muscle wasting (sarcopenia) which is understood to go hand in hand with bone wasting (osteoporosis).

Cover Picture of Whole Body Approach to Osteoporosis By Keith McCormackSome years ago I read Keith McCormack’s book, “The Whole Body Approach to Osteoporosis”, which concurs with the IOF’s research suggesting protein intake, vitamin D and B along with a diet that is predominately alkaline all contribute to maintaining muscle and bone. We need more than just Calcium to maintain bone health!
Keith McCormack discusses gut health and inflammation as well, the IOF article thinks this area should be investigated further.
If you want to know more please contact me or read the book, we have it for sale at the clinic and it’s a bit cheaper on e-book/kindle on-line.
